The Little Girl & Life

When I was born, a little girl,

I recieved it every while

Slowly started giving it back,

and hence I learnt to SMILE

How strange is this world,

is it dark, bright, noisy, calm, wet or dry?

I got confused, it was my voice I used

and hence I learnt to CRY

As I became a toddler,

from all, my parents were above

I could not stay away from them,

’twas them, whom I learnt to LOVE

My angel brothers arrived,

now those precious parents I had to share

But how easily they became my life,

and I happily learnt to CARE

Instead of being the moon,

he wanted me to be bright sunbeam

My papa gave me wings to fly

and I learnt how to DREAM

It Isn't easy to stay away from family,

but going to school was a must

My mamma gave me strength

and I learnt how to TRUST

Soon the lesson reversed as

trusting everyone was of no use

Exploring what's good and what's bad,

I started learning to CHOOSE

Life seemed so simple and wonderful,

as I frolicked through thick and thin

This was the time the world

was at my feet as I was learning to WIN

But if the wind is always right,

who would learn to adjust the Sail?

Soon I found the other side,

and it wasn't easy to learn to FAIL

Finally I first flew, had a better view

and had my version of wrong and right

This is the time I took a stand,

I learnt you sometimes need to FIGHT

I acquainted Ego, pride and greed,

but found they never want me to rise

So I befriended humility instead and

My! how easy it is to APOLOGIZE

Fortune favours the brave, my life who gave,

helped again to change my life

Now I have my favourite as my husband

and he has his favourite WIFE

Every moment I think I know what life is, it takes another turn,

So now I know life is not a single wish, a person or a destination..

Life is

Smiling

Crying

Loving

Caring

Dreaming

Trusting

Choosing

Winning

Failing

Fighting

Apologizing

Marrying

And so much more the little girl is yet to LEARN..
